Into space

Sitting on a 80 x 80 linen canvas, this piece has been a reflection of my own inner world and dreams. I wanted to create a piece in which the focus is on the centre of the painting and the viewer is sucked into the painting. This is why I have created a dense core made with Golden high flow acrylics and have kept the outsides rather simple with an opaque cerulean blue. This artwork is unique in the sense that it features the use of modelling paste which is beside my seascape, not a medium that is ever-present in my artworks. It has taken me a while to release this artwork as I first wanted to keep it for myself. The artwork is currently framed in a white oak frame and this is how the painting will be shipped if needed. The painting is also UV protected and varnished.
